We recently returned home to Peterborough Ontario from Calgary. While there i visited your store and purchased a Paderno turning slicer which i love and many of my friends would also like to get one. Unfortunately we have been unable to source them here. We would really appreciate it if you could help me source this item.
Thanks
Rosie

Hi Sharon,
This is a note from Eliese, regarding registration for the workshop:
Hey There Bee Lovers!
This is just a reminder that if you are planning on attending the DIY Beeswax Body Products Event, you need to register in advance, as there are only limited seats available (about 10 seats left). Please go to http://www.backyardbees.ca/courses if you are planning to purchase online, or email me at eliese@backyardbees.ca if you would like to pay in cash when you arrive. Thank you and I look forward to seeing you there!

Yes, we’re in Calgary. We create and carry raw chocolate and raw chocolate making supplies. Cacao in its raw form is one of the healthiest foods on the planet! No guilt required :) Here’s 7 reasons to eat more chocolate

Hi, are you guys going to have more workshops? I went to the raw chocolate and ayurveda and they were great! I couldn’t go to others this month because I was very busy. But are curious about others like the sprouting, snacks, chocolate pie, super foods and super herbs, etc. I tried to check more on your website but there was an error when I went to the classes section. Please let me know for any updates. I would really love it.
Thanks!

I purchased some Guayusa the other day at Davids Tea but was dissatisfied with the price, it was about $10 for 100 grams of loose leaf tea. From the runa.org site I found 3 locations in Calgary that sell Guayusa, one of which is the Light Cellar. There didnt appear to be any in stock at the Light Cellar, but I didnt care because there was another format of Guayusa, the powdered kind. I found the location convenient as it is close to the hospital where I work. I phoned and got the info for price. I looks like there are many varieties the store carries of Yerba Mate, including Guayusa. The Guayusa powder that I bought mixed easily in hot water and is good stuff. And the price of $22 for a pound is a good price. I am hoping that the Light Cellar gets the Guayusa tea leaves in the future, and possibly Yaupon Holly, which is a Yerba Mate cousin that grows in abundance in southeastern united states, otherwise known as the black tea, which is an additional resource that I believe in the future could alleviate costs of shipping of coffee. The store is nicely organized and is no nonsense and the products all look fresh and up to date. Good job, it is nice that your store exists and is an additional resource I can rely upon for tea supplies, thank you!

Thanks for the kind words. :) We often have Guayusa in stock in a tea cut (not whole leaves, but a larger cut, easier to work with than the powder, and very good & strong), and it’s not too much more expensive or around the same price as the powder. Guayusa is certainly one of our favorites!
