(this a hands-on class)
with Latifa Pelletier-Ahmed
Sunday February 18, 2018
1:00pm – 4:00pm
We maintain a close relationship with trees, whose giant limbs stretch up towards the sky, mirroring our own physical form. Like ourselves trees persist above ground all year long, facing the elements, stoic and strong.
This workshop will focus on getting to know local trees in depth, learning how to recognise their unique physical features, edible and medicinal properties, and stories and legends.
Trees are important elders in our community. Learn techniques to help you connect more deeply with local trees, as allies, friends and teachers.
This workshop is hands-on, you will participate in making and take home a healing salve made from tree resin. Materials are included.
